Oh sure, you’re probably thinking this is another one of those, “what does this have to do with marketing posts?”  Well, you’d be right, I suppose.  I justify these types of posts by pointing out that the person who wrote about advancements in cell phones years ago now looks like a genius by being ahead of the technology platforms that marketing followed.  I do it so years from now, people will say, “Wow, Tommy was really ahead of his time in predicting quantum / high-speed computing devices that changed the way people interact with products.”  (I hope).

Anyway, great article in PhysicsWorld:  Physicists and biologists have teamed up to build a living transistor — an unusual kind of bacteria that produces long stringy filaments outside its body that conduct electrons better than some metals.
