Google launches “Solve for X”

I’d like to think that my many, many posts that have very little to do with advertising, have contributed to Google’s decision to create a new project dedicated to tacking some of the world’s biggest problems.  Oh sure, I haven’t really solved much, but my guess is that someone from Google who reads my blogs realized that there are probably a lot of people like me – people who have ideas that fit nowhere else – ideas that, if combined with other goofy ideas – then filtered by someone who can actually build stuff – could lead to great results – people who use dashes to create run-on sentences.

In all seriousness, recent projects have shown that there may be something to crowd sourcing to solve problems.  So why not try to tap into the power of social media for good?  I’m on board.

In case you haven’t heard . . .
